The Colliers are an Indie rock group, with a Celtic groove. They write their own original music and play a variety of covers in their own unique way. They are inspiring and refreshingly different.
Steve is an incredibly innovative acoustic and electric guitar, pedal steel guitar and upright and electric bass player. He played with several major artists and toured extensively.
Jenni is a national champion fiddler. She also plays foot drums and puts passion into everything she plays and writes. She also played and toured with several major artists.
Steve and Jenni met in a traveling band from Albuquerque, that traveled the Midwest. Jenni later moved from her hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Steve’s hometown of Stillwater, Oklahoma, where they played in many bands around Oklahoma during the inception of the Red Dirt music movement. Their bands did warm ups for major acts and won statewide and national music competitions. They moved to Branson a few years later, where they played for different artists and shows. Steve still plays seasonally at Silver Dollar City and Shepherd of the Hills.
Steve and Jenni have their own band again, this time with their daughter, Eliya, who has been called an “old soul”. She plays electric bass, ukulele and has an uncanny knack for singing, vocal improvisation and co-song-writing with her parents. She has been honored for her silky, smooth singing and has experienced many cultures, through travels with her parents. These have shaped her into a delightfully personable young lady.
The Colliers are a taste of variety in a bland world, combining 70's, 80's and 90's rock to current hits, originals and Celtic music with their unique instrumentation. It is music that defies genres; Music that is captivating and fun.
